Order Information

Heavenly Tiers offers bespoke cakes and confections to make any occasion a heavenly treat. You can choose from our range of wedding, celebration cakes and confections for dessert tables. All of our designs can be customised to suit your occasion, or we can create a bespoke cake for you.

How to Order

We’d love to create something extra special for you. Please get in touch via the enquiry form, by email or by phone to place an order or to book a consultation. Consultations are by appointment only, and consultations with tastings are available for wedding orders.

To ensure our cakes are baked and decorated to the highest quality we take a limited number of orders on a weekly basis, so it’s is advisable to book your cake well in advance.  We suggest allowing at least three months for wedding cakes and dessert tables, and four weeks for celebration cakes.  Cakes can be booked up to one year in advance.  If you do have a last-minute request please contact us and we’ll do our very best to help you.

A deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking to secure your chosen date.

For wedding cakes and dessert tables, the balance is payable four weeks prior to collection or delivery.

For celebration cakes the balance can be paid in cash on collection, or two weeks prior to collection or delivery.

Collection/Delivery

Collection from Heavenly Tiers premises will be arranged at a mutually convenient time. Delivery and set up is available for the Edinburgh and Lothians area (typically within 15 miles of Heavenly Tiers) for an additional charge.  Please contact us for a quote.

Our delivery area is generally as follows:  throughout Edinburgh and Midlothian, to Stow and West Linton in the Scottish Borders, to Dunbar in East Lothian and to Livingston in West Lothian.  If you are outwith this area please contact us to discuss requirements and we’ll do our best to help.

Our Cakes and Confections

Our cakes and confections are baked fresh from our kitchen.  For a heavenly taste, we use quality ingredients for all of our products; free range eggs, Scottish butter, Belgian chocolate and natural flavourings where possible.

We provide standard depths of 3″ and 4″ for our cakes, which provides two or three layers of moist sponge sandwiched with our delicious fillings and fruit conserves.

There is a growing trend for deeper and double height tiers which can be accommodated in cake or created using dummy tiers.  All prices indicated on our site are based on 3″ depths.

Cake Flavour Menu

One of the most important (and most delicious!) parts of choosing your cake.  We have a huge range of flavours and fillings for our cakes.  Take a look at our cake menu below – we can advise on which options would work best for your chosen design:

  • Madeira sponge with vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam
  • Chocolate sponge and chocolate buttercream
  • Coffee sponge with coffee buttercream
  • Red velvet sponge with vanilla buttercream
  • Carrot cake (without nuts) with orange or vanilla buttercream
  • Carrot cake with orange or vanilla buttercream
  • Whisky or Cognac-soaked rich fruit cake
  • Light fruit cake (without nuts)
  • Lemon sponge with lemon buttercream & lemon curd
  • Orange sponge with orange buttercream

Sponges and buttercreams can be infused with alcohol for an indulgent finish – you could  Irish Cream, Triple Sec, Limoncello or Kirsch, but if you have another favourite flavour we’re usually able to help.

Cakes are finished with buttercream, ganache or fondant.  Rich fruit cakes are covered with apricot glaze, marzipan and finished with fondant, but should you wish to omit the marzipan we can add a thin layer of fondant to replace it.

Cupcake Bouquets (7 cupcakes)

Cupcake Bouquets finished with indulgent buttercream swirls or fondant domes from £22.50.

Cupcake Bouquets finished with buttercream flowers or handmade fondant toppers from £25.00.

Cupcake Tower and Top Tier

Cupcake tower & top tier (4″ 6″ or 8″)  combination (minimum of 12 cupcakes) makes an elegant display. Top tiers are charged according to celebration / wedding cake rates.

Portion Guide

Our site celebration cake portions are based on 1x2x3″ sized servings. Wedding Cake portions are based as 1x1x3″ sized servings. This is referred to as party sized and wedding sized portions on our table below. Please let us know how many portions you require and we would be happy to tell you how much cake you require for any cake shape.

Allergen Information

We advise customers with food allergies or food intolerances to contact us about requirements before ordering.  Nuts, gluten, and dairy products are present in our kitchen, and as such we are unable to provide cakes for people who have allergies to these allergens due to the risk of cross-contamination.

Products labelled made ‘without’ does not mean they are ‘free from’. We can produce cakes made without gluten, dairy or nut ingredients, however due to the risk of cross-contamination we cannot guarantee that the product will be ‘free from’ allergens.

Heavenly Tiers cakes are individually priced to reflect the design, number of portions and time taken to produce the cake. Please contact us for a quote.
